The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria have come together to promote transparency and accountability in the country. The head of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, recently spoke to CSOs in Abuja, urging them to join forces with the EFCC in the fight against economic and financial crimes and corruption.

He also highlighted that most of the petitions that come to the EFCC and other anti-corruption agencies are received from CSOs.

Olukoyede outlined his three-pronged agenda for the EFCC, which includes focusing on anti-corruption efforts, maintaining professionalism, and adhering strictly to the rule of law. He called on CSOs to collaborate with the EFCC in its mission to promote transparency and accountability in Nigeria.
